Do you remember grandma's chocolate sheet cake?
We are heading to a party and I was asked to
bring something sweet. What could be better
than this....
And what do you do with the frosting left in the bowl?
Are you a spatula or a beater licker?
Or do you just dig right in like I do? mmmmmmmm
BEST SHEET CAKE EVER!
1 ¼ c butter
½ c cocoa
1 c water
2 c flour
1 ½ c brown sugar
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
½ t salt
1-14 oz sweetened cond. Milk
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 c powdered sugar
1 c nuts
Melt 1 c butter, stir in ½ c cocoa and water. Bring to boil, remove from heat.
In separate bowl combine flour, brn sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add cocoa
mixture, beat well. Stir in 1/3 c condensed milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour in greased
15x10 jelly roll pan. Bake 15 min at 350. In saucepan, melt remaining ¼ c butter, stir
in remaining ¼ c cocoa and remainder of cond. milk. Stir in powdered sugar and nuts.
Spread on warm cake.
